HiTech Hippies Privacy Statement

Information you provide

When you subscribe to the newsletter or send a contact message, we process the information you choose to provide so we can complete that request. This can include your name, email address, subject, and message. Newsletter subscriptions are processed by Kit. Contact messages are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and delivered using Microsoft services.

Website analytics

We use one dedicated Google Analytics 4 property to understand aggregate site use and improve the website. Analytics is kept out of the initial rendering path and loads after a visitor interacts with the site or after the page has been idle. It can collect page paths, a path-only referrer, browser and device information, approximate location, engagement information, and successful newsletter, contact, or phone-action event names.

We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, message contents, form values, or URL query strings to Google Analytics. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled.

Cookies and controls

Google Analytics may set first-party measurement cookies such as _ga after analytics loads. You can block or delete cookies using your browser controls. Doing so does not prevent you from reading the site or using its forms, although analytics reporting may be incomplete.

How we use and share information

  • Provide the newsletter or respond to messages you request.
  • Operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the website.
  • Understand aggregate content and conversion performance.
  • Meet legal obligations and protect our rights where necessary.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to operate these functions, or where required by law. Relevant providers include Google Analytics, Kit, Cloudflare, Microsoft, and Vercel, each of which processes data under its own service and privacy terms.

Retention and your choices

We keep personal information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, operational records, or legal obligations. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, unsubscribe from marketing, or raise a privacy concern through our Connect page.
